ENGHIEN-LES-BAINS, MEMBER TO EHTTA

The association EHTTA (European Association Historic Towns Thermal) is a network created in 2009 in Brussels, which includes twenty-five cities spas, including Enghien-les-Bains, located in ten European countries. These cities possess an architectural landmark and mineral waters have healing properties recognized across Europe.
The objectives of this network are to obtain European recognition of cultural specificities and innovative European spa towns with the European Union to develop tourism in the new plan encouraging tourism border "Destination Europe". EHTTA encourage development and economic restructuring of spas and the preservation of their cultural heritage through sharing of experiences and good practices at European level. All member cities EHTTA integral part of the cultural routes of historic spa towns, which is one of the twenty-four cultural routes recognized by the Council of Europe since 1987.

Sources of Culture Project: « les Cafés de l’Europe »

The association, in partnership with the Route of the Water Towns of the Massif Central, presented the project of Europe Sources: Cafés de l’Europe, in the framework of the European program Culture 2007-2013 which objectives are cultural cooperation, the circulation of works. Sources project is a collaboration of nine cities, including Enghien-les-Bains, on the question of the origin and future of the "European culture of spas." Debates on the future of health resorts will take place through prestigious Round Tables called «Cafés de l’Europe”
